Holmes believed that doctors make the best criminals, because of one case in particular. That case was the one of Miss Helen Stones. Holmes must have wondered about all of the effort and planning that Helens step father put into carrying out his evil plan. Why he wanted to murder his step daughters was easy to understand. There mother died and they recieved her money, when they got married. But he was not going to let that happen. He wanted their money.

Helen told the story of her sisters death to Holmes. She told him how she died in her arms. She told that her last words were "Oh!, My God! Helen! It was the band." She told him how her step father was and angry man. And how he killed his butler. While he was studying in India to become a doctor. He had gotten away with it! She told how they moved back to England, and they kept exotic pets: a baboon and a cheetah. She said how her sister and herself kept their doors locked from the inside at night, so the animals didn't get in. She said about the doctors only getting along with the gypsies that lived close to their property.

Obstruction of Justice In Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes: Hound of the Baskervilles (1986), the idea that justice is put forth over the character’s individual righteousness is the privileged idea. What is actually being shown is that the characters, even Sherlock Holmes, favor what they personally think is right ahead of what is just. Sir Henry Baskerville takes it upon himself to chase down Selden because he knows he is a convict, but he does not stop to consider that he should take a step back and allow others who are more informed to take action on this issue. Sherlock is so focused on figuring out the mystery of the hound that he neglects to help others along the way and just observes the area.…

A few of the false clues that lead Sherlock to form a false hypothesis were the presence of gypsies on the property, Julia’s use of the word “band” before she died, and the fact that a coroner believed her death was natural and not from any type of poison. Snake venom would not show in a chemical test which only a trained professional, like Dr. Roylott, would know. Sherlock realized that the whistle and milk was used to train the snake to crawl through the ventilator onto the fake bell rope and fall onto the bed which could not be moved. Eventually, the snake would have bitten poor Miss. Stoner. At the time when the whistle was blown, it would return to Dr. Roylott.…
