Hollywood Criminal Justice System

The influence of movies on society's perception of the capabilities and acceptable behavior of both the criminal justice system, and the individuals that work within it, are portrayed differently throughout Hollywood movies. The criminal justice system is a set of processes which are set by the government to help control crime and apply penalties to those who violate the law. There are more than a single criminal justice system, and they are each applied differently depending on their level. For instance, the State criminal justice system only handles crimes that are committed between state boundaries, while the Federal system handles crimes committed in federal property. Hoyt is involved in a raid that Alonzo takes him to where an old man is killed and Hoyt would be blamed for his death. At this point Hoyt is against Alonzo for good and threatens to kill him for doing so. After this stirrup Alonzo takes Hoyt to his home, where he meets his wife and young son. We later learn that Alonzo is involved with the Russian Mafia and owes them $1 million dollars, with an ultimatum that if he does not show up with the money by midnight he would be dead. At the end of the film, Hoyt is after Alonzo and runs after him as he threatens to kill him. He gets inside his home and attempts to end him, but Alonzo escapes through a window. Alonzo is then trapped in a neighborhood with all of his “homies¨, everyone was tired of being bossed around by him that they did not help when Hoyt was pointing a gun at him. Hoyt then collects evidence that proves Alonzo’s corruption and leaves as the other thugs keep an eye on him.
