There are times in ones career in which you are graced with having the opportunity to converse with someone of high esteem, extensive knowledge, credibility, and pizazz who is open to share their story of success, passion, and ____________. Kathy Prizmich, National Director of Business Development is this person whom possesses all these qualities and exceeded any expectation of a marginal interview.
While Kathy Prizmich had extensive years of success working with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, had made a name for herself and could have easily , she made a decision to leave her comfort zone and enter into the private sector as the Business Development for the western regional area. When asked how she keeps up with the changes in our industry and staying ahead of the curve, she gave credit to a member on her team who focuses on the market and the company’s research committee. Prizmich stated the importance of listening to what is happening with our customers, understanding the market and being involved. Involvement ranging from conferences, events to customer visits. Although relationship building is vital for her line of work, she also understands the significance of relationship building with her family. While Prizmich has a far from normal work schedule she has made sure to establish boundaries for herself, in order to keep her far from burnout and closer to refreshed and invigorated. She has realized the importance of knowing when to say no, being a self-starter and admitting boundaries will not be set, unless set by yourself. So many times it is too easy to be consumed by deadlines, quotas, and new projects which can create for one to lose sight of the passion which once fueled them. Kathy Prizmich has recognized the importance of fueling her drive by the successes and the many lives changed.
