(I am) Introducing a great book. Perhaps many may have read it before. A book called Holes. A excellent story about friendship, but did you learn something from it? Although Holes initially appears to be a mere children’s book, after close observation, it is rather an allegory for life because it discusses how life is often miserable and unlucky and how hope and friendship is able to overcome that.
The first reason that Holes is an allegory for life is it discusses how life can be miserable because people do not help each other.. The book closely describes how hard it is for Stanley to dig his first holes, especially under extreme heat and without any help (Sachar 36-38). The “friends” Stanley made in the camp are often blaming

For example, Stanley went to Camp Green Lake because he was wrongly accused of stealing shoes that somebody else had stolen. The reason that Stanley went to Camp Green Lake in the first place is because he got mistaken for somebody else's problem (Sachar 23-24). Life is not always fair, sometimes you just have to accept it. Stanley’s father has worked so hard to invent a way to recycle shoes but it has always been a failure, because of that their house is full of the smell of burning shoes (??). Effort is part of success but not all of it.
Last reason is hope and friendship are able to overcome many things. Stanley’s hope of that Zero is still alive saved Zero, even know Zero have very little chance of surviving. (When Stanley was looking for Zero, he kept going even though it was very hot (??).) Part of that is because of the friendship too. When he finds Zero still alive their hope of finding water at the big thumb pushed them forward; and at last their hope is fulfilled.
The miserable and unlucky things proved that Holes is an allegory for life. In real life, hope and friendship can push you forward. There are a lot of allegories in Holes. It teaches you many things in life. Miserable things can happen in life, you just have to overcome it. Sometimes in life, you will get unlucky, like being blamed for another's fault. Therefore, friendship and hope is very important, good friends can help when in
