To Whom It May Concern I am honored to write this letter to express my support for Susanna Bell in her application for the Go Texan Scholarship. I had the pleasure of teaching Susanna during her senior year in my Culinary Arts class. From the first day of class, Susanna impressed me with her self discipline, love for learning and love for helping others.…
With each passing year, educational expenses continue to escalate and a collegiate experience is well beyond the financial means for many successful high school students, including myself. During difficulties in the past, my family has maneuvered through financial crises with extraordinary faith and by remaining together. As a result, I am compelled to join my brothers at North Greenville University in efforts to eliminate additional education expenses. Unfortunately, even with these implementations, my sister will only further complicate our evolving situation as she will enter college the following year. Therefore, the Weldon Wyatt Scholarship will not only secure my collegiate experience but will also enable my brothers to continue their…
I am greatly honored to be a recipient of the 2016, 2017 Witham Trustee Scholarship. Thank you very much for the kind generosity of this gift. Your support will greatly help my family through the struggle of paying for college. Just earlier this year, a brother of mine has graduated from this University and wishes to move on to medical school, which leaves quite the financial burden on them. The scholarship you have given me helps offset that burden just that little bit that greatly helps my family.…
Jocelyn: What is the Fry Scholarship? The Fry Scholarship is a military benefits program that provides educational assistance to the surviving family members of service members who died while on active duty. A Quick Introduction Fry Scholarships were created in memory of Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry. They are connected with the Post-9/11 GI Bill, but only benefit the surviving spouses and children of service members who have died on active duty while serving their country after September 10, 2001.…
I play on the women's collegiate softball team at St. Thomas University. I have been playing softball since I could walk and, along with every other athlete, my dream is to play on the biggest and brightest stage possible. For softball that is the NCAA College World Series. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to make millions of dollars playing professional softball like many other professional athletes. This is it for me because college is the highest level of softball I will play in my life and I don't want to settle at a school where I know my athletic ability and hard work could get me so much further.…
Dear Ventura College Board of Directors, I am honored to be a recipient of the Edith H. French Scholarship. This scholarship presents me with an invaluable opportunity for me to pursue my educational goals, without having to worry about the expenses that college students are required to pay. Providing for my five year old daughter while also going to school full time has placed a strain on my finances, so the opportunity to receive this scholarship will help me immensely. This award has vindicated my decision to complete my college education rather than going into full time employment. After all of the hard work and sacrifice I have put into my education, it feels amazing to be rewarded in such a remarkable fashion.…

I am writing to thank you for your generosity in the Dame Jackie Marching Band Scholarship. I am very happy to receive this scholarship that shows great appreciation to the CSU Marching Band. I am a second year currently studying Art Education. I am part of the flute/piccolo section and have been a member of the CSU Marching Band for two years so far. It’s been a great experience being a part of this band and a great way to represent our school.…
At the corner of Walker St. and Crescent St., across the road from Walker Jr. High School, passed La Palma Hospital, lies the largest campus of Anaheim Union High School District, John F. Kennedy (JFK) High School. From the parking lot into the school, I see Kennedy ’s quote, painted on the edge of the entrance, stating, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Many other quotes by graduating classes were painted on the edge of the hallway overheads with the year underneath and all meant to inspire people. Tall, lush trees provide shade, protecting me from sunshine and heat of the afternoon sunlight.…
Initially, I’d like to share with you my scholarship achievements, history, and ambitions. Throughout my middle school and high school years my grades have always been above a 3.5 grade point average. This is because I was raised in a household where…

In life we all have goals that we need to accomplish. One of my goals is to obtain a Ph.D. in educations, specializing in Special Education because I enjoy what I do and like to make a difference where is needed. Obtaining a PhD will provide me with the satisfying feeling and the confident that I truly know what I am doing when it comes to teaching. This opportunity will allow me to transfer my skills and use them to the advantages while obtaining new ones. The reason why I chose to specialize in the Special Education field is because this field needs teacher and people who are willing to make a difference.…
