Hockey is a current sport that I am playing in P.E. and it is pretty fun. You can get hurt but that's a risk in any sport. For me hockey is very fun and i know that not everyone loves hockey but it's part of P.E. and you just have to get over it. The NHL which is the national hockey leauge was founded in 1917. It started in Montreal, Canada on November 26, 1917. That would make the league 97 years old and thats pretty old, older than my grandpa.

There is a cup called the Stanley cup, and it has been awarded every year. But there were two since 1914. Because of the spanish flu that happened, the Stanley cup did not get awarded in 1919. The Stanley cup did not get engraved in 2005 because of season long lockout.
