Have you ever made it to state or even the state championship? Well I have and I love hockey. Hockey is a sport that I have loved since I was three years old. My favorite hockey player is Nikita Kucherov. He is a very skilled player and scans the ice very well. To me hockey is like a key to a lock, I have to have it. Whenever I play hockey I always want to win and play good. When Nikita first got into the NHL he was not very good. Now he is one of the most skilled hockey players in the NHL. The reason why he is one of the best is because he worked hard and just kept making good plays and the points just kept coming. This past weekend my team made it to the 2018 peewee A state hockey tournament, and got to play in the state championship.

Player-manager Harry Wright, with brother George and two other Cincinnati players, then went to Boston, Massachusetts at the invitation of Boston Red Stockings founder Ivers Whitney Adams to form the nucleus of the Boston Red Stockings, a charter member of the National Association of Professional Base Ball Players (NAPBBP). The original Boston Red Stockings team and its successors can lay claim to being the oldest continuously playing team in American professional sports.[6] (The only other team that has been organized as long, the Chicago Cubs, did not play for the two years following the Great Chicago…

He played against the Soviet Union in the Summit Series in 1972. Gilbert helped Team Canada receive a win in one of the greatest hockey series in my opinion. Gilbert set or equaled 20 team scoring records and when he retired in 1977, he trailed only one other right winger (Gordie Howe) in total points. Rod Gilbert was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982. If I was there at that time and have the power to elect someone to the Hockey Hall of Fame, I would totally elect Rod Gilbert because he was one player who showed a lot of strength in his…

If LaFontaine played 14 seasons in orange and blue he would have 445 goals, and 506 assists (951 points). That number is astounding! I am not trying to downgrade the effect these player's had had on the Islanders. I just want to prove that it is very strange Pat is not recognized for his efforts. Especially since former players with worse stats have gained the acknowledgment needed for someone of their…

After his success throughout high school, the Pittsburgh Penguins selected Crosby first overall in the 2005 NHL draft. Two years later, the club made the 20-year-old the youngest team captain in NHL history. In 2009, he led the Penguins to their third Stanley Cup title. Being so relatively young in NHL standards when he earned such a significant title only goes to show how hard working Sidney is and how it helps him strive to reach his goals, which is a factor that greatly influences his fans and makes him the icon that he is. His hard work plays a big part to his success in his career, but also his dedication towards the sport sets him apart from other athletes.…

Sometimes, in sports or in life in general, there are favorites and underdogs. There is a general consensus that the favorite team or player will win but sometimes it`s the underdog that wins and receives all the honor related with that win. This is very similar to what I read about Seabiscuit and what I watched in the video of Jason McElwain. Some people have the ability to transcend their underdog status (ie. Red from Seabiscuit and Jason) and create something very special.…
