I believe that Hochswender’s essay is persuasive. The reason why I think Hochswender’s essay is persuasive because he makes several statements that lean more toward having an SUV is the way to go. “Four- wheel-drive vehicles allow workers to get to and from their jobs, and parents to transport their children safely to school” (Hochswender 155). This quote states that Hochswender believes that without having a four-wheel-drive vehicle, individuals cannot get from place to place safely. It is safer to be in an SUV than a Corolla when getting into an accident (Hochswender 155).
