A Rocket is a projectile that can operate on it's own without oxygen by the combustion of it's contents. Rockets are particularly interesting because it has transported mankind where they have never been before. That is why this project is on Rocketry, but with small scale rockets. The purpose of this project is to see if a homemade Baking Soda Rocket can equal the endurance and/or the height of a Hobbytown Rocket. Though it is important to know the history of rockets and how they function, and the proper gear to wear even around small scale rockets in order to properly carry out this experiment. The first real rockets were invented by the Chinese as early as the year 1232 A.D (Bellis 2). These rockets were used mostly for warfare and
