The strategy I have chosen to investigate in order to grow Hobbitons Profit is adding a proffesional photo at a compulsory certain place during the Hobbiton tour. This photo will be taken using all professional equipment and a staff member will be taking the photo. The photo can be taken as indivual, group, couple or however you please. At the end of your Hobbiton tour when you reach the pub, you will be given your photo when you receive your complimentary drink. The photo will be given to you in a glossy quirky frame that is special and unique to Hobbiton. Below is a small example of a tourism competitor Skyline Gondola, they offer this strategy as an additonal cost but it is compulsory for the photo to be taken.

They will also have to ensure on their staffing roster one person is stationed with the camera, taking photos at all set times to ensure no tour groups miss out as they have already paid for this. An average staff member is paid $15.25 per hour and the staff member would need to be paid for 6 hours which amounts to and extra $91 a day. This will be covered by sales of the increased tickect prices. Another cost will go into changing advertising prices so they price increase is changed and no one is unaware that there is an increase in price. Currently Hobbiton charges $79.00 for an adult admission fee if 3000 adults per day one month they would earn 6,636,000 by adding in a proffesional photo and raising the price to $85 with 3000 adult guests visiting they would earn 7,140,000 which is an extra $504,000 from this cost we would minus the price of an extra staff member for one month being 2,562 and a monthly budget for Ink, card frames and photo paper being a rough estimate of $400 (as price will vary) they will gain an extra $501,038 per month per 3000 adult visitors. The price increase and reasoning for the increase will firstly be advertised on Social Media and their website to reduce costs, signaging and brochures will need to be updated swiftly for signage this is a simple brochures as small price stickers will be stuck over the original pricing this will all fit within the start-up budget of $3300. 4 staff members will go on a one day photography course to ensure they can capture the best shots for our visitors. This course is held in Auckland by the Three Little Wishes photography company and is $100 per person, they will need to find their own transport for the course but they will be paid for the four hours they are there this will amount to $244 in wages and $400
