Hnd Personal Statement

I want to be part of this program in order to expand my worldview, make new friends, and create new life experiences. I envision growing as an adult who will get to immerse himself as a truly citizen of world by experiencing the United Kingdom and Western Europe. I will take in new cultures, customs, outlooks, and activities. For example, when I come back, I will be able to hold a long conversation comparing about how Londoners procced their day, or even how they celebrate customs as opposed to Americans and Colombians. I see myself making new friends who will help strengthen my ability to adapt to different people, languages, and team-building skills. I will change and bring back different outlooks of life to the different communities I am a member of. For example, I will talk to my friends in Colombia about how tall the London Eye is, or how much the Tower of leans, or even about how small the Mona Lisa painting is. I will go to museums, art galleries, attractions, and small street corners that will inspire me to enjoy my photography hobby. I will create memories through my camera lens of these attractions, and at the same time I will immerse myself in different cultural point of views that will help me expand my worldview. I will encounter all these experiences and at the same time, they will allow me to humble myself about the privilege that I have of traveling. I expect to encounter different challenges during my immersion. The challenges I expect are not grasping different slangs, not understanding how to get from one place to another, not understanding certain customs, and even being scared t ask for help. I will overcome these challenges by going up to people and asking them what the different slangs mean, how to get from one place to another, and what or why they have a certain
