While other issues were caused by a lack of communication, the problem here was miscommunication. Monthly welcome meetings between staff and new clients failed to outline the mealtime requirements for participating individuals They were told that they were welcome to come and eat between 12 o’clock and 1 o’clock in the cafeteria during weekdays. Many times, half the menu is already consumed by other people, if you could not get in line early enough. The school runs out of food, still charging full price for what is left to serve: one side item and a milk. The food served is also disgusting, processed, and chemical-filled, even my dog would refuse to eat; not to mention the ground beef served here was once green. The school ends up shoving these appalling substances down our throats, leaving us no other options for food. Even some teachers are on my side saying the food served to us is nothing but a mockery.…

Students in Chicago Public Schools were not pleased with their free lunchroom food- not that they are being too picky but because the food is outright "disgusting, unhealthy, unappetizing and overly processed. " When these kids' palate cannot take it anymore, they did something revolutionary; they took the issue of school cafeteria food in the internet. Every meal in nearly every CPS lunchroom is made by the district and are given free to every student. With the federally subsidized program's intention of having kids coming from low-income families benefit from free meals, ending mountains of sometimes fraudulent lunch paperwork, moving lunch lines faster, and making it easier for everyone to get a school meal, officials expected to see an…

If CCMS received one million dollars this is what I would improve the cafeteria, update the 7th and 8th grade wing, and sports. I would improve the cafeteria that way it could hold more people that way we don't have to have 1st and 2nd lunches. I would also improve the 7th and 8th grade wing because it's not really the best. First, I would improve the cafeteria. We need a bigger place to eat because everyone is all bunched up and it's way to crowded plus I think this might help other people that are claustrophobic.…
