Peter first question is “How are Hmong wedding organize”? Hmong wedding is to represent the race of Hmong , and it is something that has been pass from generations to generations. Hmong wedding is to have a bride, groom, green lady, negotiator and best man because these are the five main important person. The negotiator job is to talk with the bride side of the family and get some agreement between the two families. The green lady is to monitor the bride and the best man is also looking after the groom. When they arrive at the bride parents house they eat talk, and with the parents and pay the price of the bride. The dowry was not something call selling your daughter, it a sign of the groom respect to the bride family. Peter Thao says that back in Laos a bride price is up to ten thousand dollars, but recently the clans have decreased the price to five thousand dollars, because of economic. Peter Thao also believe that this is good to the communities because this is part of our culture and we should not throw away our traditions. At the end of the interview I ask each of them do they think we should keep this tradition, and they both agree that we should because this is something we always were doing when it comes to wedding. This can also be good to teach younger kids that we are Hmong and we have traditions so do not lose
