Health can be defined into by a persons mental, social and physical condition. Diseases can be categorised by the type of severity, and what implications it has on the particular individual, and how they 're passed from person to person. For example for diseases such as Gonorrhea and Chlamydia which are both STI’s (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) diseases such as these can only be passed through sexual contact. Other diseases such as Influenza and Chickenpox are spread through the air. They 're spread when droplets of pathogens are released into the air by sneezing, coughing or talking. So both of these would be in the infectious disease category because they 're transmitted to one another, through normal social contact; whether that being via water, food, sexual contact, animal bites or air.

You can 't directly catch AIDS, you only contract AIDS if you have HIV. HIV/AIDS is mainly spread through having sexual intercourse or sharing drug injection equipment, such as needles. You can catch HIV through certain fluids, blood, semen (cum), rectal fluids, pre-seminal fluids (pre-cum), vaginal fluids and breast milk. These certain fluids must come into direct contact with a mucous membrane, damaged tissue or directly into the bloodstream (syringe or needle); for transmission to possibly occur.
