Adolf Hitler, the once great Füher of Germany, lead a powerful and corrupt regime during his years of supreme dictator of the Aryans; he committed many devious crimes, many of which would be unforgivable to the world and those who were affected by it. To a figure this destructive and well-known, his death should be one of the most known facts about him. However, the death of Hitler is one of the greatest mysteries ever presented to mankind. Hitler’s death, one of the greatest conundrums ever presented to mankind, has never been proven due to the lack of facts about what actually happened on April 30, 1945. In the days before Hitler’s suicide, he stayed in a 2 story, 3000 square-foot bunker in Berlin, called the Füherbunker, which was located directly underneath the German Chancellery. It was there where Hitler spent his final days of WWII, and possibly his life. He moved into the Füherbunker sometime early in April of 1945, when the Soviets were beginning to make their final push towards Berlin, trying to win the war. As Allied forces closed in on all sides of Berlin, parts of it were evacuated to prevent the Hitler knew that he was ultimately going to lose the war; his mental health started to deteriorate slowly. On April 22, Hitler suddenly let a shrieking, hysterical cry, denunciating the “universal treason, corruption, lies, and failures of those who had deserted” (?????). Hitler also arrested Himmler and Göring shortly after his 56th and last birthday, because they chose not to stay with him in the Füherbunker. Göring was stripped of all his power, and Himmler was almost executed, but since Hitler could not pinpoint the location of him, Himmler’s personal liaison, Hermann Fegelein, was executed …show more content…

Later, he hears of Mussolini’s embarrassing death at the hands of Italian partisans. This was said to be Hitler’s final reason to push towards suicide. Hitler was reported to have asked his personal physician to test some cyanide capsules he had received from the Secret Service to his favorite dog, Blondi. The test was successful, and Hitler was also reported to be hysterical at Blondi’s death. The next day, April 30, Hitler received bad news from the war front; commanders said that they could only hold the Soviet advance for another 2-3 days, at most.
