“Franklin D. Roosevelt and Adolf Hitler: Two Powerful Figures in WWII”

The world has gone through countless turmoil and countless change. So many events have happened that we remember for one reason or another. Arguably the biggest incident to happen was World War II. WWII was an eye-opener from when it began to when it ended. People had finally seen the cruelty of warring sides against one another. Everybody seemed to be against each other at this time, and no one knew who they could really trust. Naturally, in a time like this, nations needed strong and willful leaders that could withstand these tribulations with courage and dignity. Although their goals are different, there are some similarities. Hitler was an ambitious dictator and he wanted control of… well, everything. He wanted to create the Third Reich, and he planned on it lasting at least a thousand years. He only wanted Aryans to be prosperous or even live in this Third Reich. His extremist attitude and morally incorrect nationality would be the driving force for the mad-man. F.D.R had a goal as well. A very noble goal it was as well. His goal was for the world to be free of all this hatred and fighting. He wanted people to be able to wake up happily without fear, and to hear the sounds of chirping birds, not gunshots and artillery. He couldn’t stand it. His morale and want for freedom was his driving force. His goal was freedom. However, the similarities for these two rests in their actions. They both fought the best they could for this goal, as well as they believed it to be the only way for continued life. They were determined to reach this mighty

Behind the Nazi Mind: Adolf Hitler With six million Jews as victims and as little as 3 million Jewish survivors, the holocaust is primarily the most well-known and one of the most traumatic events in history. The National Socialist Party, also known as the Nazi Party, is known for its anti-Semitic views with Adolf Hitler as its leader. However, not only the Jews were targeted in the major genocide. Gypsies, the mentally/physically disabled, transgender, gay, lesbian, Roman Catholics, and Poles were kept as prisoners and suffered the same starvation and brutal treatment as the Jewish prisoners. But one can only ask, why had Hitler done this?…

Brian Koslow, a professional guest speaker and an author, states, “If you nurture your mind, body and spirit, your time will expand, you will gain a new perspective that will allow you to accomplish much more.” In other words, if people want to become a better person, they will condition themselves into becoming one. In the film, Max, led by a fictional character named Max, exposed a defiant story about Adolf Hitler’s journey into leading many Germans into abominating the Jewish community. When it comes to the topic of whether Hitler was born to be an authoritarian or was it his environment that led him to such a desire for power. Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini were like each other in many ways. Both were devoted Fascists, and both became dictators of their countries at similar times using similar strategies. This was not surprising, as Hitler had seen the success of Mussolini’s rise to power and was inspired to do the same in Germany. The two shared a common, clever strategy in taking power in a completely legal fashion. Their arrival in their governments and the laws they made that allowed them to run legal dictatorships were a major factor in their rise to power.…

Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, and Benito Mussolini all three were major dictators that made a huge impact in what we know as history today. Their leadership skills and ways of persuading the public were all different , but had some similarities. All three used propaganda and mainly focused on economic policies and the problems that the country faced with the government. Mussolini and Hitler shared more similarities to each other than Stalin shared with the both of them. All three of them were against democracy mainly because democracy gives the people freedom of speech and the ability to overthrow a leader.…

Two of the greatest men in modern history, Otto von Bismarck and Adolf Hitler were determined to transform Germany into a great power. Despite being Prussian, Bismarck was nonetheless driven to unify Germany due to the fear of liberal ideology in a fragmented Germany. In essence, Bismarck was violent and would not stop at anything until his goals were realized with the eventual formation of a German state. Meanwhile, Adolf Hitler, an Austrian, sought to rid the nation of any race that was not “pure,” creating a utopian society based upon his radical ideology. Like Bismarck, Hitler was close-minded and would always go with his instinct, regardless of what was truly in the best interest of the masses.…

Both had a tyrant that was controlling the people to do their bidding, Abigail Williams from the Salem Witch Trials and Adolf Hitler from the Holocaust. Although the Holocaust was more devastating and a mass genocide of a full religion, they both have their reasons. Hitler started killing off the Jews because of a book he read that regarded Germany's Past, While Abigail, although she was doing it for her own pleasure, had the Bible for her help of persecuting the so called “witches”. Many people fell to Hitler because they were scared of him like how Mary didn’t want to tell the court that Abigail was lying to them. Both Hitler and Abigail went many lengths to get what they wished for.…

I thought we weren't allowed to use in text citations or any citations so I completely reworded any information I would have had to look up which was very limited actually (I couldn't remember exactly when FDR got polio). But, I had to do a huge project on this in AP Gov when I was a senior in high school (it was horrible, it was the equivalent of writing this essay with fifteen paragraphs going over major legislature and whatever of the war) and we had to know exactly when they came to power (both Hitler and FDR) what they were like before and after. Basically we had to know down to their mother's middle name. That's why I chose this topic, because I found it pretty interesting that there were some similarities between two men who obviously had vastly different outcomes. There were a few spelling errors which makes sense since I was the only person who read it.…
