The differing perceptions societies had in Macbeth and Frankenstein about Macbeth and Frankenstein's monster were disgustingly inaccurate, as both characters were falsely judged by their peers. In Act 1, Scene 1 of Macbeth, Banquo states, “For brace Macbeth— well he deserves that name— distaining fortune, with his brandished steel, which smoked with bloody execution, like Valor’s minion carved out his passage, till he faced the slave; which never shook hands, nor bade farewell to him.” Macbeth is represented as a brave warrior in this quote, as the fact that he just killed a man is ignored by his peers. From an early point in the book, Macbeth is precieved as a righteous hero who contained not a drop of fear, simply based off of his strength…

It is a natural human inclination to achieve success; however, any desire in excess can become a destructive force. This is what happened to William Shakespeare’s tortured protagonist Macbeth in one of the Bard’s most unsettling tragedies. Although Macbeth’s ambition initially appeared to be typical of a soldier’s need to succeed and receive recognition from his leader, it would eventually take over his life, obliterate his conscience, and transform his character from hero to villain. Macbeth was clearly his own worst enemy, but there were others in his life who contributed to the orchestration of his downfall. The witches and his equally ambitious wife fed his ego and whetted his appetite for power.…

It was written in time much different than today when life was completely different and seemingly had no comparisons to today’s time. However, I believe that Macbeth can be related closer to today’s time than people might realize. Lady Macbeth (Macbeth’s wife) in the play seems to replicate a psychopathic nutcase that in no way resembles anyway in modern society. However, She in many ways resembles a modern day college football coach and when you discuss college football coaches you have to the talk about the most successful college football coach of all time (in terms of wins and National Championships) Nick Saban.…
