Josef Stalin and Adolf Hitler are two different rulers, but to the public eye they are viewed as similar people. The both of them were very strong in their rule. They had no sympathy and they were both dictators. They ruled by terror. Stalin was born into a poor family. His father was a shoemaker and his mother a laundress. He had a rough childhood. First off, his family was poor so there was always a struggle for money and his father was a terrible alcoholic. He continuously beat his son in drunken rages. As a teenager, Stalin was especially interesting in philosopher Karl Marx. He was sent by his mother to a seminary in the capital or Georgia to become a priest, but that did not happen. He was attracted to the city-life and it’s revolution.

Germany was going downhill but Hitler was too proud to admit it. He would break out into fits and get angry easily. He soon just hid out in his office, the medicines his doctor gave him mad him go close to crazy. He would go over and over different plans to bring the German military back on top, but there were not enough people or supplies to work with anymore. Hitler, realizing that there was no more hope ordered that everything of the German industry, communication and transportation systems but gotten rid of and then he married Eva Braun. His last statement was as said: “Above all I charge the leaders of the nation and those under tham to scrupulous observance of the laws of race and to merciless opposition to the universal poisoner of all peoples, international Jewry.” The very next day Hitler ended his life. Hitler and Stalin both can partially blame their need for control on the radical childhoods. As small kids, they went through what no child should experience, but it is no excuse for what they put the countries through. They both are very similar in the way they rule over nations. They wanted people to do what they said, and asking them nicely wasn’t going to get it done. So, they took matters into their own hands (and guns) and made the people do what they thought was best. One country thrived and the other was destroyed with debt and
