Humans gain ownership of intangible items everyday, so how does that affect a person’s development of self identity? If a person owns something intangible, that person will feel more powerful because ownership of knowledge equates to power. If a person has a lot of knowledge, than that person has a large amount power. For example, in the 1900s people gained ownership of the idea that the Aryan race was the “master race.” People who read “Mein Kamph” by Adolf Hitler gained this knowledge. Since Hitler and people who read “Mein Kamph” had ownership of this idea, they held the most power during this time period. People who had ownership of the knowledge that the Aryan race is superior had so much power that they were able to murder millions

His lessening of the economic sheet that had overpowered Germany for so long helped his people to watch the fact that Hitler passed policies that disciplined their related citizens based on race. Under Hitler 's leadership, the Nazis tried to make Germany into the state of the Aryan race from 1933 until their defeat in 1945. To this end, the Nazis concentrated, deported and later killed 10 million non-Aryan Europeans through directorial massacres as an act of state. During World War Two (1933-1945), Adolf Hitler came to power and began to take over the world with his views. The events that took place under his control were horrendous; the worst being the Holocaust, killing an estimated 11 million people. As time goes on, some people are developing the belief that the Holocaust didn’t actually happen, it was a myth made up by Hitler’s opposition, used as a tactic to suffice his fall down from power. This small group of people are generally known as simply Holocaust Deniers but such believers name themselves ‘revisionism’. Throughout this essay I will suggest and discuss arguments to prove and disprove that the evidence is sufficient to deter these deniers.…

    • Hitler said that Jews and Marxists had gotten together and had become successful in Russia and now threatened the rest of Europe. In “Mein Kampf”, he promised that if he won power, he would occupy the part of Russia that would provide protection for the Russian people. This would destroy the Jewish/Marxist to control the world. To achieve his goal to win back the land they lost during the First World War, Hitler said that it was necessary to form an alliance with Britain and Italy. Having an alliance with Britain was important because it would prevent Germany from fighting a war in the East and West at the same…

I find many of the beliefs expressed in Mein Kampf to be rather disturbing. Somehow, through some pseudoscience, Hitler came to believe that people could be measured by their race, by their blood, and that the German people were the best; the highest form of humans. The arrogance apparent in this belief alone boggles my mind, never mind the entitlement present in his belief that this inherent “superiority” entitled the German people to more land. It is bad enough to view one people as ethnically superior (a sad truth throughout much of history), but to feel the need to cleanse the world of the so-called “lesser” people is absolutely sickening. I was surprised when Hitler used North America, the United States, as an example to prove his point.…

Although one may feel that one’s own materialistic objects may affect a person’s way of feeling and can display their stance in their economy and more so society as but, there’s many other internal factors such as one’s religion, parenting, personal morals, and even interactions with one another all are more determining of a person’s identity and self sense. For example Jean-Paul Sartre proposes that ownership extends beyond objects to include tangible and intangible things.…

Ownership has the potential to establish both negative and positive aspects in an individual’s sense of self. A person gages their value through their ownership of skills, objects and accomplishments in an accumulative manner. These comparisons have the ability to cause damage to, as well as build up, someone’s appraisal of themselves. Everyone owns at least a few material objects, but it is what they own in terms of knowledge and abilities that shapes a person’s self worth and hopefully, their worth in the eyes of their peers. It is not uncommon to see people weighing themselves against others based on their material worth.…
