The Katniss Root, also known as Sagittaria, is a plant normally found in shallow wetlands native to southern Canada and most of the contiguous United States. It can produce edible tubers that were used in medicines and different foods for the Indigenous people of the Americas. The plant has many different names such as broadleaf, arrowhead, indian potato, wapato and Katniss, the most well-known name for it is Sagittaria Latifolia, named after its Genus.
