The ten-year period of history between 1950 and today that I am going to research for my final project is the 2000’s. This period of history interests me because so many things took place from 2000 to 2010. I was very young during this time period, and I remember hearing my parents talking a lot about what was going on during this time. It makes me want to go back and do the research myself to see what happened and what they were talking about. Some major economic events that took place during this period are corporate and financial fraud, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, global recession, stock market crash of 2002, and war.
