People spend so much of their time staring into these cold light boxes and don’t appreciate what it has taken to get one in their house. Refrigerators have existed in households of people all around the world, proving preservation and freshness of the food they put inside. This invention didn’t just show up at the people’s door, though, it took years and years of trial and error to make it just right. The three main topics of this paper are the history of the refrigerator during the industrial revolution, what it is like now, and why it is a blessing to society.
