The Nicaragua Canal began construction during the month of December in 2014. The Canal is being built towards the south of Nicaragua starting from the city of Brito and ending in Bluefields; another city in Nicaragua. The Nicaragua Canal will be connecting the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea; or the Atlantic Ocean. Back in the 16th century, Napoleon III of France dreamed of building the canal after a Spanish explorer conducted the first survey for the project at that time, but the project failed; Nicaragua has a history for their canal schemes to fail. It wasn’t until Chinese billionaire; Wang Jing visited Nicaragua and gave the Nicaraguans hope for a new canal to be built. The canal is planned to be about three times the size of the Panama
