The unique nature of the American legal system has many distinctive types, if you look closely at those characteristics that we consider being the most significant. In our judgment, these features are most important because they give the American legal system its individuality that they set the opportunity for any economic, legal or political relationships as it takes part in it domestically and internationally. An analysis of any legal system requirement must involve an inspection of the historical circumstances from which that legal system arose. This paper will therefore include a brief discussion of history of the American legal system. Trying to understand the complex nature of the American legal system with relationships between federal and state laws were built on a broad but yet complex spectrum. Due to having to know the status of legal professions in the United States, selections and qualifications of federal and state judges, also the relationship between private attorneys and their clients from Chapter 4. In chapter 5 and six finding the unique nature of the American legal system with emphasis on the relationships between federal and state laws as well as the differences between civil and criminal law procedure is used in civil and criminal cases.
