But watching the rebellion unfold like it did, was like an eye opening to me, and the other white owners, and we had to do something. Like a parent and a child, when the child does something wrong he deserves to be punished. So, we figures we need to make some changes, and these changes made things a little better; one of the few changes we made was ending the white indentured servants, and all African decent were now slave. I don’t see this move as a bad move at all, because a lot the free ones were poor any ways and most of them have no shelter, so this moves helped them get out of the street, and at least get good food, clothing and shelter, protection, and health care. So with this been the case, there is no problem, having someone that is already under you to sever you. It makes sense this way, but it would make absolutely no sense if it is the other way around right? You cannot serve someone you superior to, because that would bring down your standards, but in the case of the serving us, they are actually gaining knowledge, and wisdom from us. If we don’t look after them, and take care of them, they would be running around the whole places without control, so we are doing a good thing, by not letting them run around the whole place cause problems and acting
