William James, An American philosopher, published his powerful book “Principles of Psychology “in 1890. James’ book laid the groundwork for many of the questions that other future psychologists would concentrate on for many years to come. “Other important early contributors to the field include Hermann Ebbinghaus (1850–1909), a pioneer in the experimental study of memory at the University of Berlin; and the Russian physiologistIvan Pavlov (1849-1936), who investigated the learning process, and established the tenets of classical conditioning.” (Citizendium, 2010).
Psychology became a popular separate discipline in the late 1800’s, which the beginning history can be traced back to the early era of the Greeks. “.
