On October 28, 2002 ISIS held the first attack the most recent attack was on March 22, 2016. The first leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi spent most of life in and out of prison for selling drugs and getting charged for sexual assault. Zarqawi got out of prison and tried to take out the soviets but ended with Zarqawi back in jail. Zarqawi was killed by an American airstrike on June 7, 2006. After the death of the former leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was placed in power and since recruited many more followers. In 2014 ISIS had around 4,000 members and to the more recent date 100,000 people joined the group of terrorists. Over the years ISIS has not only attacked countries but historical artifacts such as Turkey, Paris, and France tourist spots.
