THey initiated the Immoral Traffic Act. They persecuted the third parties involved in trafficking. They involved brothels, earnings from sex work, and capturing, imprisoning and forcing people into prostitution. Although they passed this act, it didn 't help as much as it was thought to do. Many girls were arrested for soliciting and had them losing everything. It was known as the Fourth World Conference and it addressed the issue of trafficking women. It was a major accomplishment. Human trafficking was recognized as an act of violence against women. It was also when the term “trafficking” was defined. Most importantly, it puts in motion actions to be taken in developed countries. Some of these actions were international conventions on trafficking, addressing the factors that lead to trafficking. Law enforcement was put in effect and institutions to eliminate trafficking both nationally and internationally. There isn 't just a set kind of people you can look for, human trafficking could be children, adults, U.S., or foreign citizens. They are children under the age of 18 in commercial sex, adults over 18 or over induced into commercial sex through force, fraud, or coercion, and children and adults induced to perform labor or services through force, fraud, or coercion.
