There is need to apply PPPs in all sectors of Botswana economy. The PPPs are the in thing the world over. According to Ministry of Finance and Development Planning MFDP (2009) the rationale for PPP is to face challenges in the delivery of public services, infrastructure development, maintenance and operational obligations, the need for alternate financing to provide economic assets and social assets. The Botswana Public Enterprises Evaluation and Privatisation Agency (PEEPA) launched the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Policy and Implementation Framework at the Boipuso Conference Centre in Gaborone (date). Firstly, PPP provide access to private sector finance. The BDC made announcement that the project failed to meet its targets including those of time and budget which in its view affected the viability of the project. Secondly, PPP offers a higher platform of efficiency coming from the private sector. It implies that a PPP model could have saved the Palapye Glass Company from collapsing. Thirdly, PPP adheres to high to increased transparency in the use of funds. The failure at the Palapye Glass Company has been attributed to many factors that include lack of transparency. According to Kaboyakgosi and Marata (2015) advanced that for Botswana Meat Commision and Palapye Glass Company major causes of failure include poor corporate governance, lack of due diligence, failure to obation prices, and poor project management resulted in agents not taking their duties seriously by misappropriating funds and or changing goal posts. Other advantages PPP model include; complex procurement process with associated high transaction costs, contract uncertainties, enforcement and monitoring. All in all a PPP model could have done wonders in many the projects that have failed to take, thereby inducing development, creating employment and investment
