While Rosa Parks, Martin Luther Jr., Malcolm X and many more were amongst people of color that stood up for what they believed, which were voting rights and so much more. Not many years later after Rosa Parks arrest and boycott of the buses, there would have been a woman entering into a college being the first black female into University of Georgia. Many of us are close-minded and do not want to think what happened in the past, happened. It is great to know what happened in America, because often times all of this is not mentioned in history, especially lower level history classes. Without many people wanting change in the world, the world may be where it was a long time ago. With each and every person learning more knowledge, only makes people more aware of history. I believe what the woman has done is extraordinary, and this is a reason why we need to have more educated people in the world. As a country, we need to find a way for every one to have equal opportunity at school, and also higher education.
