There was a variety of things to do in 1998, such as: movies, television shows, music, sports and fashion. The number one song on the Billboard charts in 1998 was “The Boy is Mine” by Brandy & Monica. The number one album was the self titled: “The Backstreet Boys”. The Grammy Awards were big in 1998. Lauryn Hill won album of the year with “The Miseducation of Laryun Hill”. Lauryn Hill also got best new artist. The best pop album went to “Ray of Light” by Madoma. Best pop duo or group was “Jump Juce An’ Wail” by The Brian Stezer Orchestra. Best pop female goal was Celine Dion with “My Heart Will”. Best male pop vocal was Vric Clapton with “My Father’s Eyes”. Best Rock Duo or group was “Pink” by Aerosmith. Best rock album was Sheryl Crow with “The Globe Sessions”. Best rock female vocal was “Uninvited” by Alanis Morissette. Best male rock vocal was “Fly Away” by Lenny Kravitz. Best rock song was “Uninvited” by Alanis Morissette.
