Napoleon made military mistakes. For example, Napoleon angers Spain, Russia, and Britain by doing several things like simply attacking them. The mistakes Juan Carlos made weren’t military mistakes. Rather, Juan Carlos was just spending money on trips and women. Instead of using the country’s money to help fight wars and expand land, Juan Carlos used the country’s money to pay off his affairs with women. Juan Carlos instead of learning from Napoleon’s mistakes as ruler makes even dumber mistakes. At least with Juan Carlos, his mistakes didn’t lead to wars. One of these tactics was trench warfare. Trench warfare was a military tactic that involved fighting from trenches, making advancing very difficult. Life in the trenches was not easy either. Disease spread and the weather was not always pleasing. Another tactic used in both the Iran-Iraq War and World War One was mustard gas. Mustard gas destroys the respiratory system, and it is very painful. It takes a long time to die from it. The Iraqis took these strategies and used them themselves. These strategies in specific are not good strategies, yet the Iraqis still used them. This may be because the Iranians and Iraqis thought they could learn from the mistakes made in World War One and tweak the way the tactics operated. Doing this will, hopefully, allow them to succeed.
