The problem with the conformists is that they ignore all their thoughts and senses, they throw away all their common sense and believe the false facts they are being taught, in the 50s companies were advertising and saying their brand is number one. In Fahrenheit history was changed and the people believe it. although those two examples are different, the advertising is less severe than changing history but remember in fahrenheit its set in the future, so now they might be manipulating us little by little, in the future they will gain full control over
