Every officer involved should have been charged. The incident was just too much to handle. Rodney should have pushed for more than just 3.8 million. The officers involved in the beating of Rodney King had no business using their weapons. They should have let him get out the car and took him into custody from there. There was no reason he should have been attacked the way he was. The injuries he suffered made him live a different life. Excessive force is dangerous which is why officers should be careful before using a weapon or their hands. Some officers don’t know how serious excessive force is and they should take it more serious. Using it hurts innocent people and possibly make them loose their position. If Rodney King pushed for more I know he would have gotten what he deserved. He should have ordered that the other officers go back to court because they played a part in the beating also. The incident could have been worse then what it was. In my opinion Rodney suffered a lot. The officers did not do their job. They felt they had the power, so they wanted to over use it by hurting Rodney. A simple stop turned into something bad. Rodney didn’t comply, but it wasn’t like he was fighting the police back. What they did to Rodney King was unacceptable. In my opinion they took their job too seriously. They way they beat on him should not been done. He suffered serious injuries. He probably wasn’t himself after the incident. Officers should be aware of what excessive force is and what it could do to people. Use of it could kill people or seriously damage people. Police officers need to be trained more regarding the use of excessive force because it has happened too frequent since the beating of Rodney King.
