Hispanic Food Thesis

When people think of Hispanic foods they think hot, spicy foods, lots of flavor, rice and beans, and tortillas. When people think this they are not wrong, Hispanic food is a flavorful and many spices are used; the culture and its people’s customs have much to do with this. According to Grace Austin and Damian Johnson of Diversity Journal “the term Hispanic alludes to a person’s place of origin, referring to persons from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central and South America.” Since there are many different sub groups within the term Hispanic, I will narrow it down to the Mexican culture since each subgroup does vary in the foods they choose to eat and the spices they mix in. Foods, flavor and spices that Mexicans use mostly are strong in taste,
