Francesca has a score of 1 in reading which is below proficient. The student is also struggling in the first four cognitive levels with a score of 2 in remembering, 1 in understanding, 2 in applying, and 1 in analyzing. By modifying the learning environment, Francesca will work with a partner in completing the assignment. This will give her an opportunity to work with another student and get support from that student. Based on her learning profile, her home language is Spanish and she shows more proficiency in her home language than English. Having her work with a partner will also help support her learning a second language. The Hispanic culture values cooperative learning which would help Francesca work effectively by pairing her with a partner.
