Nice job explaining several Hispanic cultural beliefs in your post. I wanted to add a couple that I also found interesting. According to Smith (n.d.), the way a healthcare provider greets a Hispanic patient and family member may convey respect or disrepect. She recommends greeting patients and their family members using a title and their full name for the first greeting. For example, saying "Hello Julio" is considered disrespectful, while saying, "Hello Senor Julio Perez" conveys respect. It is important in the Hispanic culture to initially be addressed in this manner to create trust that the healthcare provider/school nurse is clarifying the correct patient's identity. Once the patient and or family member is greeted appropriately
