Brahma is the supreme being of Hinduism and inhabits every aspect of reality. Brahma was born from a lotus and then went to create the universe according to the Hindus. Even though Brahma is the supreme being, they do not want to be worshipped as other gods do. He is the god of creation and the two other gods, Shiva, and Vishnu are other forms that Brahma takes on. Vishnu is the god of preservation and maintains the good in the world. Vishnu protects the universe from the evil forces, or havoc that is around us. Vishnu wants to keep the good prominent and help people be the best that they can be. The last god, Shiva, is the god of destruction. Some may think that he destroys the world around us, but that is not the case. Instead he destroys evil that lurks in the universe. Shiva also transforms and can create the universe as well. It is believed in some forms of Hinduism that Brahma was born in the lotus from Shiva. Shiva then gave Brahma the power to create the universe and be the primary god.
