Strayer talks about the world’s great religions and cultures in chapter four. Strayer argues that all the traditions within the second wave of civilizations emerged around the same time. Strayer also argues that the cultures of the Greek and Chinese did not focus on the unseen realm of the divine like the cultures of Indian, Persian, and Jewish scholars.
