Jay believes you know your area of work better than anyone else, so you will know what to do when decisions need to be done. All managers at Hiller Ford like seeing their employees feel and be empowered in their ever day work life.
Effectiveness – I believe this is very effective for a car dealership. Being in a position of power at Hiller is an honor as these individuals are very knowledgeable and respected in the dealership. In any management role at Hiller you must be Ford Master Certified in that job which entails hours of online and class training. Even Jay Hillers own children had to do this training and work their way up. Power is just not handed out but a goal you can achieve at Hiller
Effectiveness – I think this is a great way to go about things, it shows that you cannot just slack at your job and expect to be promoted. With Jay even making his children prove themselves it showed to everyone that no matter what no one here gets a free ride. This also shows to customers that we are trying to be the best we can and better their experience with trained personnel.
Results – I feel the results are positive because everyone takes all the chances they can at training to better themselves. The employees in power at Hiller are industry leaders and set a standard for everyone. Jay sees that his lower level employees never take the easy road or stop trying, because they to want to be in a role of power someday
