Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Launch Speech In her second bid for President in the upcoming 2016 Election, the 45th President of the United States, Hillary Clinton has a good chance of becoming the first woman ever elected to the nation’s highest office. Former First Lady and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, delivered her official campaign speech in New York on June 13, 2015. Clinton’s platform of her campaign is to lay out her vision for the people of the United States of America in what she calls the “Four Fights” of her campaign Economy, Family, Leadership, and Reform. She creates a sentimental tone in order to appeal to similar feelings and experiences as she vows to fight for all Americans. Clinton begins her campaign speech explaining her reasons in becoming the first woman President of the United States running for the second time and then sets her platform by describing the prosperity of Americans outlining specific policy changes, which she calls the “four fights” of her campaign: Economy, Family, America’s Leadership, and Government Reform (White 1-4). Clinton’s speech effectively persuades her audience by using rhetoric devices and has her own way of presenting her campaign. Structuring her speech as a personal narrative, Clinton lays out her campaign for young and adult readers, summarizing and analyzing each “four fights” as she encounters it. Hillary Clinton‘s speech leads young and adult readers through an outline of specific policy changes and her vision, which is outlined by the four fights: Economy, Family, America’s Leadership, and Government Reform.
