Taxes dependent on income, a decrease in military spending, strong government intervention, and legal abortion are a few concepts that democrats believe in. For example, Donald Trump is a very successful man who works well with money. Our nation is in extreme debt. Trump was also in debt once but found a way to escape. He could possibly help with the United States’ debt. Maybe a successful man could turn an average nation into a successful nation. One process that Trump strongly supports the deportation of undocumented immigrants. He believes that a portion of crime and smuggled drugs in the country is due to illegal immigrants crossing the border. That belief has had a neutral effect on Trump’s audience. While some believe that is extremely unnecessary, others completely agree with Trump.
In conclusion, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both share qualities of a presidential candidate, however, each has their own aspects that distinguish them from one another. While Clinton is entering the campaign with many years of political experience, Trump is coming in with only a business background. Both, Clinton’s and Trump’s background has an impact on their participation in the 2016 election. However, one goal both candidates have in common is becoming the next president. The most interesting detail I learned from the books is that a candidate being able to connect with voters is one of the most important things a candidate must do to win the presidency. It can be seen in the 1992 election as Clinton was able to connect with people and make them believe that change was possible. Bush in this election was unable to connect and so even though he was president when the Berlin Wall and the Soviet Union fell, he was unable to win the presidency. I believe this connects quite perfectly with the current election. Donald Trump was able to maybe not necessarily connect with voters, but he able to connect more than Hillary Clinton was able to.…
