Hillary Clinton Immigration Policy

In the news article by Steve Peoples from the Washington Post, “How Trump, Clinton immigration plans would affect the U.S,” tells his audience about the two views of the new presidential candidates and how their vision would affect immigrants and Americans if they were to be elected as president of the United States. The two candidates Trump and Clinton have widely different views about immigration and have stated their plans about immigration reform from border control to pathway to citizenship. Donald Trump who is a Republican presidential candidate has stated that he wants to have a dramatic change in the immigration issue to build bigger walls between the borders and to deport all illegal immigrants. This news article I believe is written very well showing all the facts of each candidates and their stance on the immigration policy giving the readers the knowledge of how the new immigration policy will look like. The article also gave sufficient amount of information about the topic of both candidates and was stated clearly, which gave me an overview of the whole immigration issue. This article gives a great view of how the national government and how the commander in chief will effect policymaking. One topic that I focused on was the topic of pathway to citizenship. Even though Peoples didn’t have necessarily a side on this topic but I agree with Hillary Clinton’s stance on pathway to citizenship. People’s states “She promises to propose immigration legislation in her first 100 days that would include a route to citizenship.” I believe that illegal immigrants especially children who came to the states with their parents should have a chance to gain their citizenship instead of getting deported back to their country since America was made with immigrants. Overall I thought this article was very informational and gave me a new view of each candidate and helps me to see what changes are to
