A Rhetorical Analysis Of Hillary Clinton's 'Reshuffle'

In her policy ads, Hillary Clinton shows how she would improve the lives of those around her with her policies. In her ad “reshuffle”, Clinton talks about how she plans to reshuffle the working jobs in America to help the middle class. In “stretched”, she talks about how she plans to raise income for middle class families – at the end, she says “hope you read my plan”. In “every child”, Hillary says to look at her granddaughter and the opportunities which she has been given. She says that she wants to help all children “knock down barriers and open doors” so that a person does not have to be the granddaughter of a president to have all kinds of opportunities opened up to you. Finally, in her campaign ad “get ahead” Hillary Clinton says that she wants equal pay for women, paid family leave, and to help with student debt and as president, she intends to get all of those things done. …show more content…
We see her focus on the working class, families and children. Weaknesses of this type of ad include the fact that there are no solutions to how the candidates plan to fix these problems, problems are oversimplified and the different ideas are listed off in a dry and tired format. There is no indication of how Hillary plans to reshuffle the middle class or create opportunities for all children. Although these ads appeal to the everyday person, they are not extremely informative nor are they
