Hillary Clinton Gun Control

Hillary Clinton is an American politician who was the First Lady of the United States, U.S. Senator from New York and 67th United States Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton is the first candidate in our generation to talk about justifying gun control which goes against everything the 2nd amendment states. The 2nd Amendment is the right to bear arms which means everyone has the right to posses a firearm if they go through a background check to determine if the person is smart and safe with the firearm. The people of the United States need guns to protect themselves against invasions or attacks.

In an appearance on “The Tonight Show,” the former presidential candidate blasted the Republican response to Sunday night’s massacre saying “I can’t believe that one whole political party in the greatest country on earth is totally sold to the gun lobby,” she told host Jimmy Fallon.“The vast majority of Americans and the vast majority of gun owners know we need common sense laws.” In my opinion I agree with Hillary Clinton on the topic of gun control because, there are a lot of mentally unstable people who have licenses for weapons and are doing bad things with the weapons. I think the legal age to own a weapon should be change from 18 years of age to 25 years of age because, there should be more scrutiny on licenses to own guns and stricter regulation on assault rifles that could be easily turned into fully automatic. Additionally there should be stricter background checks and mental evaluation of people registering to own a gun, and there should be limitation on how many handgun and assault rifles an individual can
