Trust in United States government is slowly deteriorating. Americans are losing faith due to many surfacing scandals over the years such as the Apple versus FBI, the 2012 Benghazi attack, and the Iraq prison abuse scandal. Another example is the JFK scandal. America as a whole is a trusting nation and citizens believe everything the government tells us even when evidence surfaces that does not support what they state. On countless occasions the United States government has lied to its citizens and been caught. A perfect example of this is Hillary Clinton being reported as lying to the public on multitudes of occasions. “Hillary Clinton embodies the corruption of Washington.” (Ted Cruz) Citizens of the United States should question the …show more content…
During the Benghazi attacks Clinton has been reported to have been lying on numerous occasions. On September 11, 2012 Hillary lied to a reporter for the Wall Street Journal. She issued a statement on the attack saying that “. . .this vicious behavior. . .” is “. . .a response to inflammatory material posted on the internet. The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.” (www.nationalreview.com) This was a lie. Approximately forty minutes later she unveiled to truth to her daughter, Chelsea Clinton, in an email addressed under the code name, “Diane Reynolds”. The email read, “Two of our officers were killed in Benghazi by an al Qaeda-like group.” (www.nationalreview.com) Again Hillary was caught in a lie on September 12, 2012. Clinton spoke publicly at the state department saying, “Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior, along with the protest that took place yesterday, as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet” (www.nationalreview.com) later to go and call Hisnam Quandil, Egypt 's prime minister to tell him the truth that “We know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack - not a protest.” (www.nationalreview.com) Clinton deliberately lied to everyone at the State Department to cover up the attacks. Doctors who executed the autopsy on Kennedy’s body explain that they might have performed “two brain examinations in the days following his assassination, possibly of two different brains. . .” (www.antipasministries.com). The report includes many bewildering discrepancies in the medical evidence. Douglas Horne was chief analyst of the five member autopsy panel . In an interview Horne stated, “I am 90 - 95 percent certain that the photographs in the archives are not of President Kennedy’s brain” and “if they aren 't, that can mean only one thing - that there has been a cover up of the medical evidence.” (www.antipasministries.com). Horne explained that the damage in the first brain, Kennedy’s brain, differed drastically from the damage in the second, new, brain. “The damage to the first brain. . .reflected a shot in the front” and the damage to the second brain reflected a shot from behind.” (www.antipasministries.com). The damage was completely different between the two brains. Former FBI agent Francis O’Neill Jr. was present during the November 22, 1963 autopsy. O’Neill and Navy photographer John Stringer returned “two or three days later” to capture photos of the brain examination. O’Neill states to the board in 1997, 34 years later, that “there was not too much of the brain left when it was taken out of Kennedy’s skull and put into the white

To prove, Jeffrey Waggoner, author of The Assassination of President Kennedy, claims, “According to the official autopsy report, the exit wound in Kennedy’s skull had grown. In Dallas, it measured thirty five square centimeters. At the official autopsy, the exit wound in Kennedy’s skull measured 170 square centimeters (Waggoner). This proves that the Secret Service may have had something to do with the assassination because the wounds were different. Also, the CIA is said to have been involved in the murder because JFK was going to break up the CIA.…

According to the Constitution, a president “shall be removed from office for, and on conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” Under these terms, I believe that the accusations against President Nixon were impeachable crimes due to not having the interest of the citizens in full mind. The Watergate scandal was a major political scandal in the United States that resulted from the break-in…

This was all that was needed for allegations of Obama's "secret Muslim faith" and people began questioning whether he was even an American. Before the internet was as widespread and easily assessable as it is today, fake news found alternative ways to get around. In the 2000 US election rumours about John McCains' 'illegitimate child" began circling through an email chain and on flyers, and in 1946 people running the Richard Nixon campaign were paid$9 a day to make phone calls to random homeowners and inform (or more truthfully, misinform) them that Jerry Vorrhis, who was at the time running against Nixon, was a communist. But these examples are both from the past 100 years. Let's take it back over 200 years to the election of 1800, where negative campaigning was invented.…

This bombshell announcement absolutely devastated the Clinton campaign mercilessly destroying their momentum. This new development intensified media coverage of Hillary Clinton’s scandalous past and unfavorably tilted the election towards her opponent.
