The ISPN is an organization that strives to support their members by promoting mental healthcare worldwide. In order to promote mental healthcare it is important as an organization to provide its members with education, which includes leadership skills, and resources for them in turn to become advocates for individuals under their care. Some practices of the organization include, supporting their members in order for them to be able to work with clients, families and their partners to address issues that affect ones with mental health disorders. The theory that I most think embodies this organization is Hildegard Peplau’s “psychodynamic nursing” or “interpersonal theory”.
