What Is Fear? Coming into Highschool I didn't know what to expect. I still had all the same kids from my middle school going to my High School. But there was a whole other middle school going to my Highschool as well. My brother and Mom I still remember on the first day telling me that Highschool wasn't like middle school or any of the other schools i've gone through. Coming in I had nothing else to believe? I haven't stepped foot in the school before. My brother being two years older clearly had experience. Now here in my final year of highschool I realize Highschool is and isn't like every other school i've gone through. For the fact that everyday you have classes, homework, and of course tests. Every year there has had a plan. Freshman year it was pretty much surviving with all the older kids. Sophomore year it was to be class president for the next year and I succeeded on that. Junior year it was for getting our senior class a senior trip. And we succeeded with that aswell. For our school to have a senior trip wasn't an easy thing. It's not a tradition for our school. There was a lot talking and convincing myself and 3 others had to do. A Lot of approval. And now here we are. Senior year. The goal this year is to successfully make it into college. Then to have four more goals in the four years I’ll spend in college. With college comes all sorts of new fears. First time being away from home for more than a week. Not being around your family at all times and to top it all off making new friends all over again. But thinking about leaving Highschool in general is a big fear without college being a factor. Everyone told me going into freshman year that Highschool would fly by. Of course I never believed it until now. It's scary to think how fast such a huge memorable part of life went. But moving on from Highschool isn't a bad thing. Neither is fear. I believe having fear in your life isn't
