Every Friday night, I sat in those stands at that magical stadium as I cheered on my favorite team with my dad. I always got there an hour early so I could take in the ambiance. There is something special about being alone on that patch of turf. Kicking out on that field, ball after ball, with no one watching except myself gives me a feeling of freedom and security that I cherish. I always feel a connection with the beautiful turf, the yellow field goals, the stands, and the net behind the field goal, which keeps me from chasing all of my balls. Workout after workout in this place of mine has caused me to be forever engrained in it. My sweat is forever soaked into the turf, my blood is a stain on the ground, and my cleats have left an imprint of my path.
