Higher Education Promotes Intelligence.
Does going to college make you an intelligent person? If you were to look up the definition of intelligence it states; that you have a good understanding of things, quick witted, sound thought and good judgement. When students experience secondary education, they have the opportunity to read books and listen to the lectures of top experts in their fields. This encourages students to think, ask questions, and explore new ideas, which allows for additional growth and development. By attending college, you will have an intellectual gain and a better understanding of yourself and the world around you. Therefore, college is the best way for students to develop attitudes, skills, and gain the confidence needed to reach your individual goals.
Attitude is very important, when you begin college it effects how successful you are in achieving your academic and personal goals, how you feel mentally and physically and what you say or do. It is important if you want to have a successful academic outcome and grow intellectually to rid your mind of any negative thoughts that can hinder your growth. For example, I wonder everyday as I prepare to go to school, am I making the right choice to go back to school after being out of the academic world for so long. The questions roll around in my head am I intelligent enough, what if I can’t get a job, if I can’t get a job how will I pay for my student loans, am I just wasting time? These are the questions…
